Divo

Divo's memorial portrait was given as a gift to his owner from a thoughtful friend. Everyone who has owned a pet knows how hard it is to say goodbye. Giving a portrait is a gesture of love and my hope is that is provides a path to healing a broken heart. I am blessed to help with art.

Trek

Trek was such a sweet pup to paint, I loved his white silky fur and his eyes full of expression. His painting was given as a gift for Christmas to some very loved family members.
Here is what the gift giver said about cute little Trek...
"The best way to describe Trek, I think, would be to call him exuberant. He moves at 100 miles an hour, but is also a very loving dog who loves to curl up with his mom and dad."

Petunia "petie"

It is always a humbling experience to paint a portrait of a pet who has passed on. Petunia or "Petie" (her nick name) lived a long happy life with her family for 14 years. Her portrait was commissioned as a surprise gift for her family to remember her special life. I truly believe that art heals hearts, and I grateful and honored to help heal a little piece of Petunia's parents hearts.

Meeka and Mia montage pet painting was especially fun for me to paint because I have had the pleasure of meeting these two fur babies personally. This special Christmas surprise I was asked to paint for some of my dear friends, Stephanie and Sean. I hope this painting will give them much joy for many years to come.

Mookie

A very special Christmas gift surprise from husband to wife. Such a privileged to be part of giving the gift of joy.

A little bit about Mookie from his Dad....

When you ask for his personality traits, the first thing to mind is "where do I begin?"...  Being a small dog, he is best described as a lap-dog.  My wife and I usually have him on one of our laps, Margie more so as when she snacks for herself, she allows him to remain on her lap as he likes to stand guard and attack any crumbs or fallen foods that happen to make it to her chest.  Many a fight has happened between them for a dropped potato chip. I on the other hand am not so lenient as he must be on the floor until I am done with MY snack, and he knows it.
As with any other dog, he likes to play.  He enjoys plush toys with squeakers or with inserts that play snippets of songs.  We refer to these as his 'deedles' as the songs played sound simply like 'deedly dee, deedly doo, deedly deedly dee' and so on.  Often times he will take one of these toys and just run from living room to the dining room, around the dining table then back to the living room where he starts over.  He is just so much fun to watch when he does so.

Caliber

I was honored to paint Calibers portrait including the thin blue line, in recognition of his duty as a police dog. His 8"x8" painting was given to his Dad (police partner) from his Mom for Christmas this year.
About Caliber from his Mom...
Caliber was the sweetest boy - we had two little girls after our first 'baby' and he was so gentle with them - it's a good thing he was a drug dog and not an attack dog - we used to joke our pet bird was more likely to stop intruders than Caliber :)

Garth's portrait is a 9x12 size. His painting will be hung next to his brothers Trevor and Colby. Although all three have passed over the rainbow bridge, I am thankful to help keep their memories alive.

Magoo is very much missed, I am so lucky to be able to help heal his owners heart through my love of painting portraits of pets.

A little bit about Magoo from his owner...
Magoo was a rescue dog. He loved lying in the sun, chasing anything that moved, acutely aware whenever a bag of food or the frog cracked open and being a complete lap dog.
