I started Nicole's portrait a year ago as a sample for my portfolio and to raise awareness about the Lucky Pup Rescue group who is helping so many pups and people with adoptions here in Southern Maine and other parts of New England.
Recently Lucky Pup posted on Facebook that Nicole has been adopted... "Nicole has been in and out of our rescue for a long period of time and she was just waiting for the right person to come along. We are grateful to our friends at White Mountain College for Pets for helping her (and us) in her journey and to her new dad for seeing the love this girl could give."

For all the fur-baby Dads!
I have 4 spots open for a custom pet painting to give for Father's Day June 16th ~ Cut off date is My 11th ~
I just loved painting the sweet smile of this painting I did of Sophia the Bernese Mountain dog for a Christmas gift a few years back.
About Sophia.... Sophia is just 2 yrs old. Full of energy and loves to play. She is bright and gets so excited her tail and whole butt wiggles. She great with the 15 month old grand babies. She grabs her toy and will sit next to them while they are playing.
I painted Skippy the Beagle last spring. The commission was a gift from a Mother to give to her son. Growing up with beagles myself, they hold a special place in my heart and I was thrilled to have Skippy on my easel.
About Skippy... "We got Skippy in Oct 2002 ( he was already 2) and he passed in Nov 2017 so he lived a long time. Skippy would ride with him in his truck. He loved the painting thanks again it was a perfect gift."
A Mothers Day commission from last year of Leo. This is an 8x10 oil painting.
About Leo.... "Leo is my parents 15 yr old cat. My daughter Abbey gave him to them the Christmas after my daughter Amber died. She had been staying with them while she was in college. They were distraught and Abbey thought he would help. They are now in their 80s and that cat is still keeping them smiling. He is a Dickens! We all love Leo! There may not be a more spoiled cat on the planet!"
A recent commission of Izzy with his little red boots, 8x10 oil painting.
description from Izzy's Mom.... He is about 7-8 years old and is a long haired dachshund mix. My son found him wandering the streets in Little Rock Arkansas about 2 1/2 years ago and he has been with me since...I am a travel nurse so he accompanies me on my assignments and is my constant companion. He is laid back and friendly and has never met a stranger..he loves children and long legged dogs !!! He loves to walk and eat !!
A recent commission of sweet Lucy Ann, gone but never forgotten.
About Lucy Ann.... "I would love to have a painting done of one of our pets that has just passed away at the end of January. It’s been difficult she was only 7. She ended up with kidney disease. She was a Border Collie mix. We rescued her from Texas along with a toy poodle. Lucy was 30lbs. Black and white. One ear would always be up. She was so smart! I can say that because I have had several pets in my life. She was the leader. So my other two still look for her. She loved to protect you and keep everything scheduled etc. Especially bedtime. Loved to chew a milk bone etc. Just very special. Of course I am crying now telling you about her. She will be missed for a long time! " |
