My passion for helping people preserve the love and beauty of their pets is my purpose as an artist. I feel that my paintings can have a healing impact on the inevitable process of moving through grieving the event of saying goodbye to our pets when they transition from the physical world as we know it. Because we are an analytical species we have actually done scientific studies on this subject as noted in this article on the Washington Post. What has been discovered is that the effect on our psychology as humans having to go through such a transition is the same emotions as having to say good bye when a person we love transitions from the physical world. In a nut shell, it is intense, the emotion that is. Within my own experience of saying good bye to my beloved black lab Clinton I discovered my purpose as a painter. For the past several years I have developed a love and a true passion for helping people. I consider what I do a service to them and it is always an honor to be asked to help them with their very own, one of a kind, pet painting.
